This DIY Eastlake Dresser Makeover started with fixing the drawer and was finished with some paint, Restor-A-Finish, and some new hardware!
I found this dresser at a thrift store.
I loved the look of it. It is an Eastlake dresser that has seen better days. The hardware wasn’t original and it wasn’t all there either.
Always open every drawer when looking at furniture to flip!
I always open every drawer when I am looking at a potential piece to flip. When I opened the last drawer, it was missing the bottom.
This is an easy fix. I share how we fix drawers like this in my post HERE.
Always be on the lookout for thin plywood at your local Restore, estate sales, thrift stores, etc. We ALWAYS pick it up when we find it because we use it on so many projects. If a piece of furniture is missing a back or needs a new back, use thin plywood. When a drawer is missing the bottom, use thin plywood. I use it on other projects as well. If you find it when you are out hunting for pieces and it is a good price (cheaper than a home improvement store), get it.
Once the drawer was fixed, it was time to get to the fun part, the makeover.

Supplies Used In This Makeover:
My Favorite Sander (use coupon code “mycreativedays10”)
The first thing I did was scuff-sand the entire piece with my favorite sander.
Then, I restored all the drawer fronts with Restor-A-Finish in the color, “Natural”.
While the drawer fronts dried, I started painting the rest of the dresser.
I chose the 3-in-1 paint in the color, “Anchor”.
This paint has the primer, paint, and topcoat in one! It is amazing. Your furniture projects will be done in more than half the time!!!
“Anchor” is a true black color. It is beautiful! This color is one of my favorites.
I used hardware that we had in our stash and this piece was done.
