Check out this darling picnic-themed bridal shower we threw this weekend! A perfect summer party to celebrate the Bride to be!
My mom, sisters, and I got to throw a Bridal shower for my niece this past weekend! It was one last summer picnic themed and it turned out so cute! I just wanted to share in case anyone needed a cute and easy idea!
Let’s start with the invitations! I made a blank version. You can upload it in picmonkey or canvas and add your details.
Supplies for Picnic-themed bridal shower
I love one-stop shopping- so I grabbed the majority of all these cute things from Oriental Trading! They have the best party supplies!
- Package of gingham tablecloths
- gingham napkins
- daisy napkin rings
- Kraft scalloped plates
- Hamburger trays
- Watermelon beach balls
- Gingham paper liners
- serving tray
- DIY kite
- Large pennant banner
- gingham hanging lanterns
- He said she said game Printable
- heart shaped pens
- watermelon treat boxes
- watermelon tootsies
- Foam balls (ants)
- Black paint (ants
- wire (ants)
Party prep was really easy. Wrap the cute napkin rings around the utensils and napkins, paint the kite, assemble the watermelon treat boxes, and then DIY some big giant ants!
The watermelon boxes were so cute all over the table, but they were prizes for our games! Double duty!
The ants are just painted black and then I added some wire to hold them together and for their legs. You can get detailed and add antennas and eyes etc. but I was just going for the fun easy look of big ants!
Bridal Shower picnic food
Keeping with the picnic theme- we went with sandwiches! We wrapped them in gingham wraps and added a sticker and twine. Each little box had mustard and mayo and you could pick your chips! And of course- It isn’t a picnic without watermelon! You could do lots of fun pasta or summer salads too!
The dessert was fruit pizza (sugar cookie, icing, and fruit!) My sister-in-law made these cookies and they were the softest sugar cookies I’ve ever had! So good!
Bridal shower games
Oriental trading has lots of great game printables! We grabbed this cute one where you guess if it’s the bride, the groom, or both!
Everyone got to take home a heart-shaped pen.
Another fun game we played was price is right! We had a whole pile of household items that we would hold up and everyone guessed how much they cost! The closest one would get a watermelon box with candies!
All the items we played The price is right with were our gift to the bride-to-be!
It was such a fun night! A perfect summer picnic!
