21 Fun Popsicle Stick Crafts for Adults You Have to See!

It pains me a little bit each time I see our kids throw away their finished popsicle sticks. With how many frozen treats the five of them go through, we really should have invested in popsicle company stocks. To make ourselves feel better about the missed opportunity, we’ve started looking for creative ways to use those craft sticks. Here is our collection of fun popsicle stick crafts for adults that we would actually make!

An Easy Craft for Kids of All Ages

We love crafting with natural materials here at Sustain my Craft Habit. Driftwood we collect on the beach near our family cottage is one of our favorite materials to work with. You can find all sorts of creative driftwood crafts on our site.

However we realize that not everybody has ready access to driftwood.

One supply that is easy to find and craft with are popsicle or wooden craft sticks. As I mentioned above we go through lots of boxes of Popsicles in my family especially throughout the summer. The kids have gotten into the habit of rinsing them off and placing them in a special spot for crafting.

Any suggestions on how I clean the popsicle sticks before crafting with them? Everyone seems to skip that step in their instructions.

@K Hindall, most crafters don't use the germ ridden used ones they buy fresh clean ones from a craft store so no cleaning needed

That's a great question! I usually wash mine with soap and a bit of warm water but the color often stays. Usually I plan to paint them, so don't worry about it. If you need them colorless, you could soak in a solution of 1 cup water to 1/4 cup bleach. Hope that helps!
