Faux (fake) home decor has my whole heart! I bet you can’t tell which lemons aren’t fresh and which ones are plastic! 😉 Living in Phoenix, Arizona where citrus trees thrive, I am lucky to have a lemon tree fresh for the picking in my backyard. The lemon tree is fake but the ones in the dough bowl are real, (did we fool you?)

Don’t underestimate the power of thrifting! Second hand stores or antique malls are our go-to for old books, crocks, ceramic pitchers and picture frames. All of these make the perfect combination once paired and stacked together… especially once topped off with cheery lemons or green branches to bring some color in!

Shop this look! It’s so affordable and a little investment now in these staples pieces make decorating for ANY holiday easy! For example, instead of lemons or eucalyptus branches, we can pull out leaves for fall or pine branches for Christmas. Fill your dough bowl with mini pumpkins for autumn or with ornaments for when St. Nick is here. The possibilities are endless!
